Hello All!
As the most outstanding OSI alums that I know (and the only ones...), I have request from you. One of our new probationary members, Julia DiFiore, has made it one of her active suggestions to solicit letters from OSI alums to include in the orientations binder that new members receive the day that they become Staters, and as the new Orientations chair I am thrilled to try to make this happen. These letters might include some of the things you learned, stories about the friendships you made, and/or some form of a "make the most of it" message. She thought of the idea after reflecting on how awesome of an experience it was to become a member a week before the 75th anniversary where she got to experience Stater history at its finest.
That's where y'all (that was for you Jamie!) come in! I am asking you to either write a letter, something that would have inspired you or made that day even more special, and/or to forward this email on to your Stater Alumni friends so that I can get letters from lots of different senior classes. I will definitely be putting something about this in the Elephant and contacting the Alumni society to spread the word, but I was hoping to get a few letters sooner for this quarter and try to reach people that might not be members of the Alumni Society. I know that you are all out there doing great things as close as OSU Medical School and as far away as Santa Lucia, Honduras, and I hope that you will take some time to become a part of this new tradition.
If you would like to handwrite your letter, feel free to address it to Ohio Staters, Inc. and mail it to 1739 N. High St Columbus, OH 43210, or just email me a copy and I will print them off.
